Strong Indications of an Economic Recovery at NCTA IP Possibilities Show

This year’s buzz at the NTCA IP Possibilities Show was upbeat and the dialogue was positive as exhibitors saw a significant increase in attendees—more than double last year’s attendance.  Areas of interest for attendees at CCI Systems’ booth were IPTV, fiber splicing, economical upgrades and VoIP.
Cisco’s Business Development Manager, Nitin Gupta, and Product Manager, Michael Shannon, reported attendees were far more interested in moving forward with projects this year as compared to last year.  They said it is a very good sign that the industry may have turned the corner.
Wednesday’s breakfast presentation was a significant part of the show for CCI Systems. The presentation featured Mariner’s VP of Product Management, Marc Savoie.   Marc gave a detailed discussion on Mariner’s xVu suite which enables service providers to maintain complete visibility of customers’ in-home IPTV Quality of Experience (QoE), including visibility throughout the contentious “last mile.”
CCI Systems and Mariner recently announced a strategic partnership to offer the xVu suite through CCI Systems.  CCI’s Vice President of Network Technology, Todd Gingrass, introduced Marc and shared tips for making IPTV installation easy and affordable.
A video of the presentation will be available soon on both the CCI Systems Web site and Mariner Web site.
