How to Optimize Your Network’s Performance

To successfully launch DOCSIS 3.0 and other advanced services, network certification is required. After the four-step certification process is complete on your network, it will perform with optimal performance and allow revenue-generating services to run smoothly. Our eBook How to Optimize Your Network's Performance details the four steps:

Forward and Reverse Sweep:  A network sweep of both the forward and reverse path indentifies plant problems caused by environmental conditions or age.

Ingress/Leakage Mitigation: Noise in the plant finds its way and out of the plant over time. A thorough examination of each node will determine the where the ingress enters and signal leaks.

Proof and Performance: After the first two steps are complete and problems have been remedied, proof and performance testing verifies that your network is working as it did when it was originally installed.

Documenting: For future trouble shooting purposes, all results of tests and actions taken are thoroughly documented.
